Uaxactún, is a Maya site, located about 25 km north of Tikal, in Petén, Guatemala. Its name in antiquity was Siaan K’aan, that means Born of the Sky. This city was inhabited from the Middle Preclassic Period, near the 900 A. C. and all the Classic, having its maximum splendor of the 500 to 900 D.C.
